Whirling Junior Quilt Pattern -PDF

Whirling Junior is a new version of the original Whirling pattern using smaller blocks.

Skill Level: Intermediate. Quilter knows how to sew 60-degree triangles.

• This patchwork pattern is made using traditional piecing techniques.
• Templates included, but I recommend: Creative Grids 60 Degree Triangle 8 1/2" Ruler.
• Pattern assumes that the quilter has basic piecing and quilting knowledge.
• See the last image for fabric requirements and specific quilt sizes.
• Precut friendly: Fat Eighth, layer cake and charm squares depending on the size you are making.
• Find coloring pages at the end of the pattern.

To achieve the folding ribbon effect, use contrasting dark and light fabrics on each block. You can also create contrast with different print scales and colors. See images for ideas and inspiration.
